AskFrank is designed around private, local-first home maintenance help.

This policy describes local home notes, selected photos, reminders, StoreKit subscriptions, and outbound retailer links.

AskFrank Privacy Policy

Summary

  • AskFrank is designed to be private by default.
  • Home profile answers, checklist progress, notebook details, and selected repair photos are intended to stay on your device in this build.
  • AskFrank does not sell personal information.
  • AskFrank does not use third-party advertising or ad tracking.
  • AskFrank Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

Information stored on your device

  • Home profile answers, maintenance task progress, reminder preferences, and home notebook details may be stored locally.
  • Selected home maintenance photos and photo troubleshooting results may be stored locally while you use app features.

Photos and on-device analysis

  • AskFrank may let you choose photos from your photo library for home maintenance troubleshooting.
  • In this build, photo troubleshooting is designed around on-device analysis and does not require a cloud AI service for the core photo triage path.
  • AskFrank may block or refuse photos that appear inappropriate or outside the app's residential home-maintenance purpose.

Notifications

  • AskFrank may request permission to send local notifications for maintenance reminders.
  • Notifications are optional. If you deny notification permission, you can still use the app.

Purchases and subscriptions

  • AskFrank Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.
  • Apple may process purchase, billing, subscription status, refund, and account information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Retailer links

  • AskFrank may provide outbound search links to retailers such as Amazon, Home Depot, and Walmart.
  • When you open one of those links, you leave AskFrank and the destination service may collect information under its own privacy policy.

What AskFrank does not do

  • AskFrank is not designed to sell personal information, serve third-party ads, create public user profiles, publish user-generated content, or require account registration.
  • AskFrank does not use non-Apple payment processors for digital subscription features.
