A lot of systems look coherent only because they are allowed to erase their own process. The final output appears, and all the dead ends, corrections, judgments, and continuity work disappear with it. That kind of cleanliness is often just amnesia wearing a nice jacket.
MODUS has been moving in the opposite direction internally for a while: vault-backed memory, provenance, doctrine, durable records, and explicit continuity work. The bunker made that posture visible. The public site stopped behaving like a brand shell and started acting like a governed memory surface.
That is a much stronger story than AI helped build these apps. The better story is that the system is leaving a recoverable record as it goes. That makes the work feel more serious, because it is more serious.
